ASM MARA Unit Trust Management Berhad (ASM MARA Unit Trust) has declared an income distribution of 4.7 sen gross per unit for Dana Bestari and 3.56 cent gross per unit for ASM Premier Fund for its financial year ended 15 August 2005.

According to Mansoor Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Director of ASM MARA Unit Trust, “Dana Bestari income distribution is equivalent to a yield of 9.70%”.

Dana Bestari, a syariah fund suitable for parents who are planning on savings for their children’s future education through unit trust investment. Takaful coverage for death and permanent disabilities will be borne by ASM MARA Unit Trust for those who invest with a minimum investment of RM1,000.00 based on the net asset value (NAV) of units held subject to a maximum coverage of RM200,000.00. Dana Bestari investor’s named child aged 6 to 12 years old also will have the opportunity to be a BEEBESTARI member and participate in attractive activities such as BEECOLOUR, BEEBULETIN, BEESMART, BEEKARAOKE and BEETOUR.

Since early of this year, BEEBESTARI has organised a nationwide BEEBESTARI colouring contest and BAKAT BEEBESTARI contest for children aged 6 to 12 years, priorities are given to BEEBESTARI members.

Mansoor Ahmad added, “As for ASM Premier Fund, the yield for this fund is equivalent to 10.12% p.a, based on the net asset value of RM0.3212 on 15 August 2004.

ASM Premier fund which is open to all races, has a fund size of 350 million units. The objective of this fund is to achieve long term capital appreciation through all types of permitted investment, with income distribution considered incidental.
