Encik Nik Mohamed Zaki Nik Yusoff - Chief Executive Officer

Encik Nik Mohamed Zaki Nik Yusoff was appointed as Chief Executive Officer/ Director of ASM Investment in May 2008. He graduated from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree. He has more than 23 years experience in the financial industry. He started his career with financial institutions in commercial banking before furthering his career in merchant banking with Affin Investment Bank Berhad. He left the banking sector in 1994 to join Amanah Saham Mara Berhad as Head, Corporate Development Unit and has been with the ASM Group since. He has been part of the Group's Senior Management team since 1997 and assumed the present post effective 1 May 2008. In ASM Group, he has gained further experience in fund management, unit trust operations, strategic and financial planning and venture capital/equity investment amongst others. He also sits on the Board of various subsidiaries in the Group.

Rusli bin Abu Yamin - General Manager, Operations

Encik Rusli bin Abu Yamin is the General Manager, Operations of ASM Investment supervising both investment and unit trust operational matters. He brings more than 20 years experience in investment and his previous roles have included responsibility for institutional sales, business, retail market, asset management and corporate planning. His experience in fund management encompasses managing Continental European Equities Market at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), and heading the Investment Department at Tabung Amanah Saham Selangor as their Chief Investment Officer. Before joining ASM Investment Services Berhad, he was the Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales at JF Apex Securities Sdn Bhd. His early career started with PNB in 1985 after receiving his Bachelor in Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He holds a Master in Business Administration from Ohio University, Athens USA and is a holder of a CMSRL from the SC.

Chong Teik Siang - Deputy General Manager, Business Development

Encik Chong Teik Siang is the Deputy General Manager, Business Development overseeing the sales and marketing functions of ASM Investment. He is a graduate from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a BSc Agri-Business (Hons), and a holder of CMSRL. He started his career with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) in 1998 as a Marketing Executive before progressed to the position as a Corporate Relationship Manager of the Investment Services Department of OCBC Bank in 2000. His experience in this industry expanded further when he joined Phillip Mutual Berhad in 2002, as the Senior Manager and was also appointed as the non-independent Director of Phillip Wealth Planners Sdn Bhd. Prior to joining ASM Investment, he was with CMS Trust Management Berhad as the Head, Agency responsible for the management, development and sales of the tied agency force in Peninsular Malaysia.

Mohammed Isa bin Abu Bakar - Head, Market & Economic Research
Encik Mohammed Isa bin Abu Bakar is the Head, Market and Economic Research.  He has extensive experience in equity market since 1977 from working with an investment holding company, a stock broking firm and unit trust management companies.  He holds a Bachelor of Economic (Hons) from University of Malaya and passed a Diploma Course conducted by the Securities Institute of Australia.  He joined the company on 1 October 2004 and he is the holder of the CMSRL from SC.

Habibah binti Abd Manaf - Head, Fund Management
Cik Habibah binti Abd Manaf is the Head, Fund Management commencing on 1 August 2007.  She joined ASM Investment in March 2004, bringing over about 24 years experience in Malaysian equity market with her.  She started her career as an Assistant Secretary, International Economics with the Malaysian Treasury, Ministry of Finance from 1980 to 1985.  She was assigned among others, to monitor the national accounts and balance payments and helped in the preparation of the Economic Report of the Ministry of Finance.  She then decided to venture into the private sector when she joined Kompleks Kewangan (M) Berhad (Amanah Capital Berhad) as the Chief Economist for the group until 1989.

During the period, she gained wide experience in market and economic research. In late 1989, she joined BBMB Securities Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Manager, Research before leaving for Charles Bradburne (M) Sdn Bhd in late 1995 to assume the responsibilities as a Research Manager.  During her tenure in both of the stock broking companies, she has not only helped to manage the research department, but also assisted the Dealing Department team in marketing tasks, including TV and radio presentations.  Prior to joining us, she was with KL City Securities Sdn Bhd and KAF-Seagroatt & Campbell as an Institutional Sales Manager in the dealing team. She is the holder of Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Malaya and CMSRL from SC.

Noor Supiah binti Ahmad - Head, Marketing

Puan Noor Supiah binti Ahmad is the Head, Marketing and Services. She holds a Diploma in Business Studies UiTM and a post-graduate Diploma in Accounting (twinning course MAP with Curtin University Western Australia). She joined ASMB in 1977 as a Marketing Officer. She gained experience in marketing, accounting, unit trust operations and IT while attached to several departments within ASMB from 1980 to 2000. In 2001, she was promoted to head the Business Development Division.

Mohd Faisal Kaim Abdullah - Head, Operations

Encik Mohd Faisal Kaim, is the Head, Operations of ASM Investment effective from 3 September 2007. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Strategic Management from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) majoring in Finance, and Diploma in Accountancy from University Technologi MARA (UiTM). He has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry, and also a certified member of Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). Prior to joining ASM Investment, he was attached to Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) for almost 5 years. His last post prior to joining ASM Investment was Head, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) Selangor office. He had earlier worked as an Assistant Vice President at Affin Bank, plus as a Manager at United Overseas Bank and a Senior Officer at Hong Leong Bank, both in Banking Operations & Credit Analysis.

Juliana binti Awaludin - Head, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management
Puan Juliana binti Awaludin is the Head, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management.  She holds a Bachelor in Law (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.  She joined ASMB on 14 January 2002 and is responsible for the company’s compliance with the related statutory and regulatory requirements.  Prior to her appointment at ASMB, she was the Assistant Manager of Apex Unit Trusts Berhad and John Hancock Life Insurance (M) Bhd, handling both legal and compliance matters.

Mohd Adzhar bin Abd Hamed -Senior Manager, Compliance and Surveillance

Encik Mohd Adzhar bin Abd Hamed is the Senior Manager, Compliance and Surveillance who is primarily responsible for compliance matters of the Islamic funds. He possesses a Diploma In Banking Studies and Bachelor In Corporate Administration (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). He joined the company on 1 March 2000. Prior to that, he was attached with Mayban Finance Berhad for nearly six years.

Yuzrah binti Mahmud - Manager, Internal Audit
Cik Yuzrah binti Mahmud is the Manager, Internal Audit. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (Kedah) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She began her career with Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co. a Public Accountant firm (Kuala Lumpur), as an Audit Assistant in June 1996. She joined M & A Securities Sdn Bhd (Ipoh) in May 2000 as an Accountant, prior to joining ASMB on 4 September 2000.

Ahmad Zamri  bin Abdullah - Head, IT Operations
Encik Ahmad Zamri bin Abdullah is the Head, IT Operations.  He holds a Diploma and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.  He was formerly attached to Schlumberger Geco-Prakia (M) Sdn Bhd, responsible for monitoring daily data processing and assisting network administrator before joining ASMB in 1995.  He is currently responsible for the operation of Application Systems and IT infrastructure including security of data, IT planning and implementation.

Marina binti Ghazali - Head, Human Resource Development and Corporate Communications
Puan Marina binti Ghazali is the Head, Human Resource Development and Corporate Communications.  She holds a degree in Mass Communication, UiTM.  She has more than 19 years of experience in public relations, advertising and promotion.  Prior to joining ASMB in April 1997, she was with Park May Berhad (1995 - 1997) and a government agency (1988 - 1994).
